This honeymoon package is essentially a cultural emersion into the world famous Kalash culture _ the nature walks at the summer palace of the former mehtars (rulers) of Chitral located within the Chitral Gol National Park a natural habitat of the snow leopard & the endangered markhor (snake eater) wild goats which offers a kaleidoscopic view of the majestic Terich Mir peak elevation 26,000 ft the highest peak of the Hindu Kush mountains. The trip also takes you to the sulphury hot springs of Garam Chashama enroute which you also get to witness the endangered markhor goats in the Tushi game sanctuary aimed at successfully protecting the endangered markhor in its natural habitat on the banks of the Garam Chashma River which is also home to leopards and wolves which a few lucky ones may get a rare glimpse during the winter season.
UNESCO listed Kalash culture as “Intangible Cultural Heritage” in November 2018. The decision was announced during the 13th session of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Committee meeting organised in Mauritius. The ethnic Kalash minority community of Kalash. Chitral Valley a former princely state is renowned the world over for its culture, landscape, friendliness and hospitality. Welcome! Your adventure begins in Islamabad, the country’s exhilarating capital. The car will pick you at a select location in Islamabad.The journey covers Motorway MI and Swabi Chakdara Expressway and Churchill Picquet and M45 the NHAs Chakdara Chitral road.

After breakfast this morning, explore Ayun enroute to Kalash Vallley of Bumborate on a sightseeing tour with an experienced local driver whose also acts a tour guide. The Kalash are abroginal tribes whose origins are shrouded in mistery. Some attribute them to be lost legions of Alexander the great during his forays into Central Asia and India. The Kalash tribes who one werethe rules of Chitral have seen their numbers dwindling to approximately 4000 today and are declared a UNESCO World Heritage. Drive back to hotel at Chitral city. The rest of your afternoon is free for further explorations.

This morning, set off for a truly special experience that is sure to be one of your enduring memories. Drive to summer palace located within the Chitral National Park which is a wildlife reserve an a sanctuary for the endangered markhor wild mountain goat. The national park is also the habitat of the snow leopard and it also houses wolves, lynx, marmots, rabbit, monal pheasant snow cock, partridges, golden eagle and many other flora and fauna species at one time used to also have black bears and musk deer.
Outdoor enthusiasts and nature lover may also go on a 2 to 3 hours walking trek within the pine, chilgoza and oak forests in the park. At advance notice your lunch can be packed so you can have your lunch in the woods in the park and watch the sunset over the Terich Mir and Hindu Kush mountains or alternately you may return back to Chitral city for lunch and overnight stay.
If you return early watch sunset over the Terich Mir peak and end the day star gazing in the hotel lawn with a toast to your fabulous view over sunset cocktails.

Today’s total driving time is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.
Wake up and witness an early morning 180-degree sunrise view and after breakfast you can drive to the Garam Chashma hot springs driving along the meandering Lotkuh River. You will pass the Tushi Game Reserve which is acclaimed for being the habitat of the wild markhor as you can spot mothers along with the new born kids during in mornings and evenings.
Chitral boasts many hot springs fed by naturally-heated mineral waters. However, the one at Injigan Hotel (Garam Chashma) meaning hot springs is renowned because of its easy access for its therapeutic effects.
It comes equipped with a fine dining and boarding facility, a hotel springs pool where temperatures hover over 100 to 110°F, a kiddy pool, and a spa. Nestled in amidst the Garam Chashma Valley the facility is overshadowed by 20,000-foot peaks and gives you the opportunity to soak in its sulfur mineral pool. Kids can play in the freshwater family pool within view from the main hot springs.
People do what they’ve always done—come to Injigan, bathe in the waters, drink them, and relax in the clean air. Whether you’re cured of anything or not, you head home feeling better. You can also walk to spot the puffs of sulphur springs steam about a hundred yards up the hill from the Injigan Hotel, the kind of ethereal gray mist that might engulf a fantasy movie dragon or wizard. Visitors often head to this section for a sort of natural magic. They can walk back to Injigan Hotel and soak in bubbling hot springs pools surrounded by clumps of cedar trees, craggy mountains, and, in summertime, trees full of apricot and mulberries and blankets of wildflowers.
Both that warmth and the springs’ mineral content have lured soakers for centuries. On its way back up to the earth’s surface, heated water comes into contact with substances including calcium, lithium, and even arsenic, lending soaking pools a high mineral content and, sometimes, a distinctive, rotten-eggy, sulfur smell.
“There are many legends and stories about how soaking in hot springs can cure your ills from arthritis and bone pain to skin diseases. But relaxing under tree shades during daytime or soaking in the natural springs heated by geothermal energy and stargazing at night time in hot water is matchless.
